Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Four years ago, I was elected to represent our community in the Missouri House of Representatives. I am honored by this privilege and I pray my actions always demonstrate that fact. Obviously we won’t agree on every issue, but you will always find me to be dedicated, accessible, fair-minded and passionately committed to my responsibility.
We stand at a special time in the history of our state and nation. Our once powerful economy has been brought to the brink of an abyss not seen since the Great Depression. From Washington to Wall Street to corporate boardrooms across our nation, the rules of common sense have been ignored for far too long. For much of the last decade, entitlement was valued over work, greed was celebrated over responsibility and American jobs were sacrificed for cheap labor over-seas.
Now,
we find ourselves at an economic crossroads. Companies are struggling to
remain in business. Job loss and home foreclosure threaten our once
vibrant communities. Our federal government is drowning in debt and the
only financial institutions lending are Payday Loans and pawnshops. Now
is the time for average working families to take back our country,
recover our economy and reshape this nation, so America can lead in the
21st Century!
The fight for working families has been my life's work and the reason I
sought election to the Missouri House of Representatives. As a proud
union member for thirty-one years, I have watched my friends and
colleagues fight to keep their jobs during a time when our government
seemed to be working against us. This year, every bill I propose, every amendment I advance will be
targeted toward reviving our economy, cleaning up state government and
giving working Missourians the help, security and freedom they need to
make it on their own.
I look forward to returning to Jefferson City and representing you in the Missouri House of Representatives. I hope I’ve earned your vote, but more importantly, I hope I’ve earned your trust. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of assistance. My capitol office telephone number is: 573-751-4822.
Sincerely,
